The Grove Mall of Namibia, or otherwise known as “the Grove” expands over a gigantic 18 000m2 of roof space.
The solar PV plant consists of an impressive 8600 PV modules totalling 2.8 MWp. The mall itself takes over a 52 089m² leasable area, which makes it the largest shopping centre in the country. In order to get such a large project off the ground, SPS needed to obtain a generation licence from the Electricity Control Board of Namibia. In the first year of the solar PV plant’s life, the mall can roughly expect savings of 4855 MWh.
