Nestled on a beautiful island close to the equator, SPS designed, funded, and commissioned a 3.2MWp solar PV system.
The solar modules are strategically positioned to face the East & West for optimal sunlight exposure. Complemented by a 6.2MWh Lithium-Ion battery storage, the solar solution efficiently meets the island’s power demands, even during high season when the demand reaches 1.2MVA.
In an era marked by the challenges of global warming, this shift by the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles towards renewable energy sets a commendable example for the industry. The resort has been operational since 2018 and has drastically reduced its annual diesel consumption from 1,700,000 litres to 400,000 litres. This eco-friendly shift has not only resulted in substantial carbon reductions, but it has also alleviated the logistics requirement associated with fuel transportation to the island.
